Working as a creative in various capacities for over three decades, data management has always been a factor in my daily life. Large image and audio files, video captures, motion graphic compositions, and desktop recordings quickly gobble up free storage space. As I’ve been imagining new and exciting ways to throw the kitchen sink into this little “superhobby” experiment and related plots connected to my pathway to becoming a “YouTuber,” I’ve also been considering the ramifications of recording live-streams,—on YouTube, Twitch, and Streamlabs OBS, etc.—in regards to my practical, day-to-day storage needs.

Two Recent Cardboard Projects

My first attempt at crafting an organizer for my alcohol-based pens—Why buy something like this for $19.99 on Amazon when you can make a crappier version yourself out of garbage in just over two days?

As a therapeutic distraction from hiding from the Cootie Apocalypse and managing my rage over endless reports of police violence, I’ve begun devoting some of my attention to cardboard crafting. I really enjoy these projects; I usually listen to audiobooks or podcasts, or watch education-focused YouTube videos while I’m crafting.

Today in Lighting Tests

My studio lighting is in a good place at this point; with so many pieces of the puzzle coming together where video lighting is concerned, I’m ready to shift my focus to other details so this party can get started.

I’ve spent a good amount of time learning Final Cut Pro X, but I’ve really only scratched the surface. I need to invest some butt-in-chair time on this.
