Cancelled.

Tracking says my order will be delivered today. I’m crossing my fingers.

UPDATE (6:49 PM)

The sun is setting. It’s been a warm, beautiful day.

Of course, my delivery is absolutely nowhere in sight and, since Amazon’s online package tracking report hasn’t updated all day, I have absolutely no idea where my order actually is.

I placed this order back on April 21st. The order status didn’t update for over a week, but then it finally shipped…only to be diverted from Seatac, Washington (5 minutes away from me) to Anchorage, Alaska.

At this point, I guess I have to cancel my order. It’s possible that it may actually be local and that I may be cancelling a shipment I actually need, but if I don’t cancel I remain in limbo.

This is, far and away, the worst shopping experience I’ve ever had on Amazon.
